ABOUT Homemade Ghee RECIPE

Ghee has been called as a medicinal food. Good quality ghee must have a sweet flavour with a golden brown colour. Back in the day desi ghee was always made at home. Many Indian dishes enhancing the flavours and adding depth. One of the antient SATVIK foods which can heal all the doshes.

  1. 700gms malai / milk cream

Instructions

  1. TAKE 500-700 GMS FRESH CREAM / MALAI COLLECTED AT HOME
  2. ADD TO A MIXING BOWL
  3. MIX MALAI GENTLY TO SOFTEN IT
  4. ADD 1 GLASS WATER
  5. BLEND FOR 1 MINUTE
  6. SEPERATE THE BUTTERMILK
  7. ADD 1 MORE GLASS OF WATER
  8. BLEND FOR 1 MORE MINUTE
  9. SEPERATE THE BUTTERMILK
  10. KEEP THE BUTTER ON MEDIUM HEAT
  11. LET THE MALAI MELT SLOWLY
  12. LOWER THE HEAT WHEN IT STARTS FOAMING
  13. THE GHEE WILL START TO SEPERATE LIKE THIS
  14. TAKE OFF HEAT WHEN GHEE TURNS THINNER & CLEARER
  15. STRAIN THE GHEE
  16. ALLOW THE GHEE TO COOL
