Ingredients to make Dal soup

  • Masoor n moong dal /lentils - 100 gms
  • Chopped onion - 1 medium
  • Chopped garlic cloves - 4 - 5
  • Chopped green chilly - 1
  • butter - 1 tbsp
  • salt - to taste
  • water - 500 ml

How to make Dal soup

  1. Heat butter in a pan.
  2. Add onion,garlic and saute for 1 - 2 mins.
  3. Add masoor and moong lentils /dal and saute for 4 - 5 mins.
  4. Add water and boil for 9 -10 mins.
  5. Add salt and mix well.
  6. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  7. Serve hot.
