Atta halwa

Ingredients to make Atta halwa

  • 1/2 cup wheat flour/ atta
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup ghee
  • 1/4 tsp green cardamom powder
  • 1 1/2 cup water
  • almonds, pista for garnish

How to make Atta halwa

  1. Take a wok and heat up the ghee.
  2. Add flour and keep stirring on low flame till brown.
  3. In another pan add water and sugar and boil till sugar dissolves.
  4. Add cardamom powder to the flour.
  5. When the flour is brown and done , slowly add the sugar water to it.
  6. Keep stirring it well for 1-2 mins to remove lumps.
  7. Switch off the gas and serve hot with chopped nuts.
