Ingredients to make Paneer pakoras

  • For the marination:
  • 10-15 Paneer pieces, cut in 1 inch cube sizes
  • Curd 2 tbsp
  • Corn flour 1 and 1/2 tbsp
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped green chilli and coriander leaves
  • Ginger-garlic paste 1/ 2 tsp
  • Chat masala 3/4 tsp
  • For the batter:
  • Besan flour 1/2 cup or rice flour 1 and 1/2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp jeera/cumin powder
  • 1/4 tsp hing
  • 2 pinches of baking soda
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • Water as required to make the batter a little thick
  • Oil to fry

How to make Paneer pakoras

  1. To prepare, take a bowl, add in the marination ingredients one by one, then finally add the paneer. Check the seasoning and adjust as per taste. Marinate this for 1 hour and keep aside. (During this time make the batter for the pakoras by mixing everything under the batter ingredients together).
  2. Make the batter a little thick, then add the finely chopped coriander leaves and keep it read . Hot oil for frying, once the paneer is ready, take the paneer one by one and dip it in the batter and fry till it turns golden on both sides.
  3. Transfer these pakoras to a paper towel to absorb the excess oil.
  4. Serve it hot and enjoy with it with mint chutney or ketchup with your loved ones.
