Ingredients to make bread gulabjamun

  • 4 bread slices
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
  • 4-5 tbsp milk
  • oil, for frying
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 tsp lemon juice
  • chopped almonds,for garnish

How to make bread gulabjamun

  1. Blend the bread slices in a mixer.
  2. Take out in a bowl and add cardamom powder.
  3. Add 1 tbsp milk at a time and make a dough , don’t over knead.
  4. Make small balls out of the dough and keep aside.
  5. To make sugar syrup, add sugar and water in a pan and make it 1/2 thread consistency.
  6. Add lemon juice to the syrup and keep aside.
  7. Fry the gulabjamun balls in a wok on low to medium flame till they are brown.
  8. Take out from the wok and put in warm sugar syrup.
  9. Garnish with almonds and leave for an hr or so till the gulabjamun soak the syrup.
