Ingredients to make Sev Puri(chat)

  • Puri(flat) 24 pieces
  • Sev 250gms
  • Potatoes(boiled) 250gms
  • Coriander 1 bunch
  • Dates( seadless) 8 to 10
  • Imli(seadless) 50gms
  • sugar
  • Lemon juice
  • Red mirchi powder
  • Chat masala
  • Onion
  • Green chillies
  • Mint leaves few
  • salt as per taste

How to make Sev Puri(chat)

  1. Peel and slice the boiled potatoes
  2. Prepare green chutney
  3. Grind 1 onion and 4 green chilles
  4. Add washed coriander and mint leaves
  5. Add salt and 1 tsp lemon juice
  6. Prepare sweet chutney
  7. Pressure cook dates and imli for 1 whistle
  8. Mash them, strain and remove all strands
  9. Add little water around half cup
  10. Sugar 4-5 tsp
  11. Salt as per taste
  12. And bring it to boil
  13. Let it cool down
  14. In a serving plate arrange 6 flat puris
  15. Top them up with sliced potatoes
  16. Sprinkle some salt and red mirchi powder according to taste
  17. Put some green chutney and sweet chutney on each puri
  18. Add lots of sev on them
  19. Sprinkle some chat masala and dash of lemon juice
  20. Garnish with lots of fresh coriander leaves
  21. Serve immediately
My Tip: The green chutney should be spicy and the sweet chutney should be sweet to give that tangy taste.
