Ingredients to make Namkin puffed rice

  • Murmure/puffed rice - 2 cup
  • Roasted black gram - 2 tbsp
  • peanuts - 2 tbsp
  • Green chilliy - 3 - 4
  • turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  • red chilli powder - 1t sp
  • mustard seeds - a pinch
  • Black salt - to taste
  • sugar - 1 tsp
  • curry leaves - 8 - 10
  • Chat masala - 1 tsp
  • oil - 2 tbsp

How to make Namkin puffed rice

  1. Heat oil in a wok.
  2. Add peanuts and deep fry till light brown.
  3. Drain extra oil and keep aside.
  4. Again deep fry roasted gram till light brown.
  5. Drain extra oil and keep aside.
  6. Again deep fry green chilly and keep aside.
  7. To the remaining oil add mustard seeds to crackle.
  8. Add curry leaves and turmeric powder n saute for few mins.
  9. Add puffed rice and mix well,cook for two to three mins
  10. Add roasted black gram,peanuts and green chilliy and mix well.
  11. Sprinkle red chilli powder,black salt,sugar and chat masala and mix well.
  12. Enjoy with tea.
