  • 8 bread slices
  • 1/2 cup beetroot puree
  • 1/2 cup nuts of your choice
  • 1/2 cup digestive biscuit crumbs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ginger powder
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4tbsp soft butter
  • 2 eggs

How to make Nutty Beet Bread Pudding

  1. INGREDIENTS
  2. BEAT EGGS LIGHTLY
  3. ADD BUTTER AND SUGAR
  4. BLEND WELL
  5. ADD MILK AND CREAM
  6. ADD BEETROOT PUREE AND MIX WELL
  7. ADD SPICES, VANILLA EXTRACT, MIX WELL
  8. GREASE BAKING TIN
  9. TRIM BREAD EDGES
  10. CRUMBLE BREAD INTO BAKING TIN
  11. EVENLY SPREAD BISCUIT CRUMBS ON BREAD
  12. POUR THE BEETROOT BATTER ON BREAD
  13. ADD CHOPPED NUTS AND SOAK THE MIXTURE FOR 15 MINUTES
  14. PREHEAT OVEN TO 180
  15. BAKE FOR 20-30 MINUTES. PUDDING SHOULD NOT BE COMPLETELY DRY
  16. SERVE WARM OR COLD AS DESIRED
