ABOUT Jamaican banana fritters. RECIPE

A sweet dish can b taken as a snack or as a dessert if served with ice cream or whipped cream.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Banana 4
  2. Maida 6 tbsp
  3. Brown Sugar or castor sugar 2 tbsp( or according to taste)
  4. Cinnamon powder 2 pinch
  5. Nutmeg powder 1 pinch
  6. Vanilla extract a few drops.
  7. Salt
  8. Oil just to shallow fry

Instructions

  1. Make a smooth paste of bananas either with a fork or in a blender.
  2. Add sugar & mix well with a fork.
  3. Add maida little by little , according to the consistency of a thick batter.
  4. Then put all other ingredients , except oil , mixing well.
  5. The batter should be like pancake consistency batter.
  6. Heat a pan with oil enough to shallow fry.
  7. Drop a big laddle full of batter to the oil. When one side is cooked , turn it. Cook both sides well.
  8. When u press it , nothing get should come out. That is the time we know it s cooked.
