Rice gulab jamun

Ingredients to make Rice gulab jamun

  • Basmati rice - 1/2 cup
  • Milk - 2 cup
  • sugar - 2 cup
  • water - 2 cup
  • Baking powder - a pinch
  • Maida /all purpose flour - 1 tsp
  • cardamom powder - a pinch
  • oil - 1 cup
  • mawa - 50 gms

How to make Rice gulab jamun

  1. Clean and wash rice
  2. Rice and milk add in a pressure cooker.
  3. When cooler release the whistle simmer the gas for 15 mins.
  4. Once cooled, open the cooker lid.
  5. When the mixture dried,grind it.
  6. Add baking powder ,mawa and all purpose flour and mix well
  7. We make a soft and smooth dough.
  8. Divide the dough in 12 equal size balls.
  9. Roll each ball between your palms.
  10. All the balls are made in the same way.
  11. Heat enough oil in a pan.Deep fry all the gulab jamun in medium flame.
  12. Strain extra oil and keep aside'
  13. For the sugar syrup
  14. Heat sugar and water in a pan,keep it medium flame for 10 mins.
  15. When it gets thick or two string consistency,it means syrup is ready.
  16. Add cardamom powder.
  17. Add fried gulab jamun and serve hot.
