About Holi special thandai Recipe

This marvelous Indian recipe replenishes the soul from within. The use of Thandai on an occasion like Holi is synonymous. People play colors in the scorching sun and enjoy the sweet sip of thandai in between.

Ingredients to make Holi special thandai

  • 250 gm sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 1/2 liter milk
  • 10 almonds,soaked in water and peeled
  • 5 pepper corns
  • 4 cardamom ,crushed
  • 2 tsp fennel seeds
  • 1 tsp khus essence
  • Few ice cubes,crushed

How to make Holi special thandai

  1. Grind well the peeled almonds, cardamom and fennel seeds to a fine paste and mix with the rest of the ingredients.
  2. Strain the mixture well.
  3. Take crushed ice cubes in a glass till half and fill the rest with the above mixture.
  4. Chill for an hour of two before serving.
  5. Garnish with almonds and pistas.
