This is a savoury cake and can be served with the evening tea, for people who like salty snacks.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. All purpose flour 1 1/2 cups,
  2. Curd 1 cup,
  3. Salt 1 teaspoon,
  4. Sugar 1 teaspoon,
  5. Onion seeds 1/4 teaspoon,
  6. Sesame seeds 1/2 teaspoon,
  7. Flax seeds 1/2 teaspoon,
  8. Fenugreek leaves 1/2 table spoon,
  9. Baking soda 1/2 teaspoon,
  10. Baking powder 1 teaspoon,
  11. Cooking oil or ghee 1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. Sieve flour, baking soda and baking powder together and keep aside
  2. Mix oil, sugar,salt and curd thoroughly. Beat well for 5 mins.
  3. Add sesame seeds, flax seeds, fenugreek leaves, onion seeds with oil and sugar mixture.again beat well for 2 mins.
  4. Add flour, baking soda and baking powder. Mix and add essence. Blend again.
  5. Grease the baking bowl and dust little bit of maida.
  6. Pour the mixture in to the baking bowl.
  7. Bake it 35 mins with 180 degree. Top of the cake colour should be dark brown not Black.
  8. Cut into wedges and serve.
