Jam Buns

Ingredients to make Jam Buns

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • sugar as per taste
  • Milk powder 1 cup
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp yeast
  • Warm water 1/2 cup
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • Milk if needed
  • Mix fruits jam 1 bottle
  • A pinch of salt

How to make Jam Buns

  1. Mix the yeast, sugar and warm water together and keep it aside for 15 minutes to froth well.
  2. Now mix the flour, milk powder, pinch of salt, sugar, olive oil and knead into a soft non-sticky dough.
  3. Keep it in a warm place for 2 hours. The dough should double in size. Punch it and knead again to get a very soft dough.
  4. With a rolling pin, roll the dough into a square shape. Now spread fruit jam all over. Roll and cut in thick round pieces.
  5. Bake in an oven or in a large wok. Use 1 cup of salt and use something heavy to place on the baking container.
  6. Sprinkle sugar on top and serve warm.
