Moong Dal Katlama

Ingredients to make Moong Dal Katlama

  • FOR DOUGH
  • Wholewheat flour 2 cups
  • oil 2tsp
  • salt a pinch
  • water accordingly
  • FOR THE BATTER
  • Green split moong dal 1 cup(soaked 2 hrs)
  • besan 2 tbsp
  • chilli powder 1 tbsp
  • coriander powder 1 tbsp
  • Red chilli sauce 2 tbsp
  • salt to taste
  • anardana powder 1 tsp
  • Handful of fresh dhania chopped
  • Green chillies 2 very finely chopped

How to make Moong Dal Katlama

  1. DOUGH
  2. Make regular dough and keep aside
  3. SPREAD
  4. Grind the soaked Moong dal.Do not add any water
  5. Remove in a bowl
  6. Add all the ingredients of the spread/paste and mix.Keep aside.
  7. Take the Dough and make small balls
  8. Make a small flat roti
  9. Prick the Roti with a fork to avoid it to puff up
  10. Apply the Moong dal paste on the roti
  11. Heat oil in a pan
  12. Drop the spread/ paste side into the pan first
  13. Turn and cook the other side too till golden
  14. Remove on a paper towel
  15. Serve warm with curd dip

My Tip:

Add more chillies if you like it spicy
