About Heart( Beet ) Salmon Recipe

Salmon provides important amounts of the antioxidant amino acid taurine. ... Salmon is an excellent source of vitamin B12, vitamin D and selenium. It is a good source of niacin, omega-3 fatty acids, protein, phosphorus and vitamin B6. It is also a good source of choline, pantothenic acid, biotin and potassium. Salmon is an easily cooked fish in very less time . In this recipe , I have infused Beetroot ( a super food ) into the Salmon fish and pan seared it quickly so that its natural nutrients doesn’t get lost . A yummy , delicious snack loved by children . A diet food for the health freaks .

Heart( Beet ) Salmon

Ingredients to make Heart( Beet ) Salmon

  • Salmon 1 medium sized steak .
  • Beetroot 1 medium sized
  • tomato purée 1 tablespoon
  • olive oil 1 teaspoon
  • ginger garlic paste 1 teaspoon
  • lime juice 1/2 teaspoon
  • salt 1/4 teaspoon
  • Black pepper powder 1 teaspoon

How to make Heart( Beet ) Salmon

  1. Clean the Salmon steak and drain the steak .
  2. Take a Beetroot . Clean , peel off the outer skin , grate the beets into a paste consistency .
  3. Let’s marinate the Salmon steak using tomato paste , ginger garlic paste , black pepper powder , lime juice , Beetroot paste . Let this marinated salmon rest in the refrigerator for full two hours . Overnight marination gives the best result . See that the steak is fully coated with the masala . Using the finger tips , spread the Beetroot paste all over the steak so that it looks red . Do this step while marinating .
  4. After two hours , take out the marinated Salmon .
  5. Heat a skillet , add 1 teaspoon olive oil and place the fish . Don’t fry it for a long time as we do for regular fish fry . Keep flipping the sides of the fish every two minutes . You could see the fish releasing its natural oil , fats . The salmon looking glossy and slightly colour turned . Tat will do . Salmon cooks fast . Now switch off the stove .
  6. Serve hot with your favourite veggies and sauce .

My Tip:

Don’t overcook the steak under high flame . Marinating for long hours gives the best taste with better Masala infusion .
