Mixed Chivda Namkeen

Ingredients to make Mixed Chivda Namkeen

  • Sabodana pearls - 1/2 cup
  • Thick poha/ flattened rice - 1/2 cup
  • Dry fruits:
  • cashews: 10 to 12
  • Cranberries - 2 tbsp
  • Kishmish-2 tbsps
  • spices:
  • red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  • sugar powder - 1 tsp
  • Roasted cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • green chillies - 2 broken
  • curry leaves - few

How to make Mixed Chivda Namkeen

  1. SOAK 1/2 CUP SABUDANA WITH 1-2 TBSP WATER FOR FEW MINS, DEEP FRY IN SMALL BATCHES TILL CRISP
  2. DEEP 1/2 CUP POHA TILL CRISP
  3. FRY 2 SPRINGS OF CURRY LEAVES, 2 SLIT GREEN CHILLIES
  4. FRY 2 TBSP RAISINS, 2 TBSP CRANBERRIES
  5. DRAIN ON A TISSUE PAPER
  6. FRY 10-12 CASHEWS
  7. ASSEMBLE THE FRIED INGREDIENTS, ADD 1/2 TSP RED CHILLI POWDER, 1 TSP POWDERED SUGAR, 1/2 TSP SALT
  8. ADD 1/2 TSP ROASTED CUMIN POWDER
  9. MIX WELL, COOL & STORE IN AN AIR-TIGHT JAR
