About Aloo Beans Recipe

A simple recipe that does not call for much time as it uses basic spices readily available in any Indian household's masale daani (masala box).

Aloo Beans

Ingredients to make Aloo Beans

  • oil (2 to 3 tbsp)
  • Green beans (250 grams)
  • potato (3 to 4 pieces)
  • tomato (2 pieces)
  • salt (1 tbsp)
  • turmeric powder (1/2 tbsp)
  • red chilli powder (1/2 tbsp)
  • Garam masala (1/2 tbsp)

How to make Aloo Beans

  1. Take the top and bottom tip off the beans. Peel the potatoes. Clean and cut both the vegetables evenly in addition to tomatoes.
  2. Add oil in the kadai. When the oil becomes hot, add the beans and potatoes to it.
  3. Reduce the flame and let them cook for some time so the oil is coated to it.
  4. Add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and garam masala. Let them gently get sauted in the oil on a low flame. Keep on stirring in between.
  5. Then add the chopped tomatoes. Cover the kadai with a lid. Check it after a few minutes.
  6. Serve it warm with rotis.

My Tip:

For any vegetable to cook faster, it is better if you cover the cooking pan with a lid.
