Aloo Tikki (Ragda Pattice Style)

Ingredients to make Aloo Tikki (Ragda Pattice Style)

  • potato 8-10 boiled
  • bread crumbs of 4 breads
  • oil for frying
  • dried yellow peas 1 cup
  • baking soda a pinch
  • All spices to taste (red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, amchoor powder, chaat masala, garam masala)
  • salt to taste
  • imli chutney
  • green chutney
  • coriander leaves

How to make Aloo Tikki (Ragda Pattice Style)

  1. For ragda: Wash the yellow peas and soak it overnight.
  2. Pressure cook it by adding double the water in it. Add baking soda and salt in it. Give a whistle and sim the gas for few minutes.
  3. In a pan put little oil then cumin seeds when it crackles, add all the spices, water as desired and the cooked peas. Cook for few minutes. Ragda is ready.
  4. For pattice: Take boiled potatoes, add all spices, salt and fresh bread crumbs in it. Make the pattice shape and fry to golden brown on both sides.
  5. For assembling: Take the pattice, add ragda, chopped onions, coriander leaves, green chutney, dahi and imli chutney. Sprinkle red chilli powder and sev for best results. Enjoy.
