About Mushroom Stroganoff Recipe

Delicious Russian side dish which is often served with rice or noodles. There are multiple variations to this recipe. Its often made either with Beef or Mushrooms

Mushroom Stroganoff

Ingredients to make Mushroom Stroganoff

  • 300 gms chopped mushroom
  • 1 onion thinly sliced
  • 3 tbsp sour cream
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2-3 garlic cloves finely minced
  • 1 tbsp paprika powder
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3/4 cup chicken/Beef/Veg stock
  • 3-4 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 1 tsp dried parsley for garnish

How to make Mushroom Stroganoff

  1. Heat oil in a pan, add onion, saute until translucent
  2. Add garlic and saute until raw aroma goes away
  3. Add mushrooms and saute for 3-4 minutes. Add stock , paprika and sauce. Bring to boil. Since the stock has salt I haven't added salt to curry
  4. Allow to cook on medium heat for 3-4 minutes. Add sour cream, mix well, reduce heat to low. Curry will split if cooked on High heat
  5. Cook for 5-6 minutes. Add parsley. Serve hot with rice. You can cook noodles too in Stroganoff curry. Stroganoff tastes good with rice or noodles
