About FALAFEL Recipe

A delicacy from Saudi Arabia.made from boiled chickpea with lot of corriander leaves and spices.served as a snack.

FALAFEL

Ingredients to make FALAFEL

  • Pre_soaked and boiled chickpea 1cup
  • coriander seeds 1tea spoon
  • cumin seeds 1tea spoon
  • garlic cloves 4-6
  • salt 1 teaspoon
  • onion (Half)
  • Corinader leaves 1cup
  • lemon juice 1 tablespoon
  • red chilli powder 1tea spoon
  • Black pepper powder 1 tea spoon
  • oil for deep frying (2cups)

How to make FALAFEL

  1. Soak chickpeas in water for 8 hours.
  2. Boil for 10 minutes and drain.
  3. Keep aside.
  4. Grind corriander seeds and cumin seeds in grinder.
  5. Add boiled chickpeas,salt,corriander leaves,garlic cloves,pepper powder to the cumin and corriander paste.
  6. Take out in a bowl.
  7. Add lemon juice.
  8. Make a disc about 3 centimeter diameter.
  9. Heat oil in a frying pan.
  10. Fry chickpea discs/falafel on medium heat till golden.
  11. Serve with yogurt-mint dip or any other sauce of your choice.
