koshari is a traditional Egyptian meal. it's very healthy dish.

koshari ( Egyptian dish)

Ingredients to make koshari ( Egyptian dish)

  • 1/4 cup soak brown lentils
  • 1 cup cooked white rice
  • 1/2 cup boiled macaroni
  • 1/2 cup boiled chickpeas
  • 2 onion
  • 4 tomatoes
  • 2 garlic
  • 1 green chili
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tsp chili sauce
  • 2 tsp tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder

How to make koshari ( Egyptian dish)

  1. brown lentil, which is soaked for 1/2 hour and then boiled.
  2. cooked white rice.
  3. boiled pasta
  4. boiled chickpeas
  5. tomatoes & 1 onion, green chili, garlic all together mix n make a fine paste. take pan n put in the 1 tbsp oil n mix tomato paste add chili sauce, I used 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, vinegar, black pepper, coriander powder all mix well and cooked for a 4-5 minute.
  6. Cut the slices of the onion and fry them.
  7. take one dish first add the rice and lentil
  8. add the macaroni and fried onion.
  9. Add the chickpeas and then pour tomatoes paste , 1 tsp chili sauces & 2 tsp tomato sauce.
  10. This is ready to be served.

My Tip:

It's a very famous meal of Egyptian n it's pure vegetarian dish. I used turmeric powder, as you wish u used usually turmeric powder it's not used in this dish.
