How to make Honey Sesame Paneer

  1. Thaw paneer if you are using frozen one. Prepare thin coating by combing the ingredients mentioned under Paneer Coating’.
  2. Coat paneer pieces with above made thin coating. Deep fry paneer pieces until golden brown and drain onto a kitchen tissue.
  3. Add two table spoons of sesame oil to a pan and drop in ginger and garlic pieces and fry for a minute. To this add onions, tomatoes and capsicum pieces and gently saute for a minute on high heat.
  4. Except honey add in sauces and peanuts. Stir all the ingredients to combine well. Sprinkle sesame seeds and add in corn flour paste by stirring to avoid lumps.
  5. Once the mixture attains sauce consistency add paneer pieces and stir quickly. Turn off the heat and honey after 5-10 minutes. Stir to combine and garnish with sesame seeds before serving.
My Tip: 1) My mom says that you shouldn't add honey directly when you are cooking. So I was not sure of adding honey directly with sauces thought the original recipe calls for the same. I added it later. But both the ways it wouldn't effect the taste. 2) Do not allow this dish to stand for a longer time once prepared, paneer turned rubbery. 3) I have added chili flakes and oregano to my cornflour paste, that's purely optional.
