Ridge gourd chutney

Ingredients to make Ridge gourd chutney

  • Chana daal 2 tbsp
  • Urad daal 2 tbsp
  • Ridge gourd 2
  • Garlic 5 cloves
  • Salt to taste
  • Tamarind 1 inch
  • Red chilli 6
  • Curry leaves 10 count
  • Coconut 1/4 cup
  • Oil as required

How to make Ridge gourd chutney

  1. Peel the ridge gourd and keep it aside, heat oil in a non stick pan.
  2. Fry urad dal, chana dal till it turns to brown colour and take it out.
  3. Add 1 tsp oil to the same pan, fry the ridge gourd peeled skin, red chili, curry leaves till it turns brown and add coconut fry for some time and take it out.
  4. Add tamarind, garlic to the same pan, fry for some time and take it out. Set aside to cool.
  5. Grind everything with water and salt. Serve this chutney with roti or rice.
