Ingredients to make Eggless Chocolate Cake

  • 100 grams whole wheat flour
  • 100 grams all purpose flour
  • 205 grams caster sugar
  • 5 tablespoons sunflower oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1/2 cup curd
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon instant coffee powder
  • 1/4 cup chocochips
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder

How to make Eggless Chocolate Cake

  1. To 1/2 cup hot water add instant coffee powder. Keep it aside and cool it to room temperature.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine both of the flours, baking soda and powder, cocoa powder, salt and sugar. Mix well.
  3. Make two wells in the flour mixture. Add oil to one and curd to the other. Pour half of the coffee mix and combine.
  4. Add the remaining coffee and vanilla essence and fold until the batter comes together and you can see no lumps.
  5. Adjust consistency with some water. You should get a thick pouring batter.
  6. To the chocochips add 1/2 teaspoon flour and mix. Add this to the batter and fold them in.
  7. Pour the batter in a greased and floured cake tin and bake in a preheated oven at 170 degree centigrade for 35 minutes and check and bake accordingly.
