Gatte ki sabji

Ingredients to make Gatte ki sabji

  • besan - 1 cup
  • salt according to taste
  • Ajwain - 1/4 tea spoon
  • curd 3/4 cup
  • Turmeric powder- 1/2 tea spoon
  • oil 1/2 cup
  • Podina powder- 1/2 tea spoon
  • red chilli powder according to taste
  • water as per need
  • Hing 1/4 tea spoon
  • Dhaniya powder -2 tea spoon

How to make Gatte ki sabji

  1. Take besan in parat
  2. Add salt, hing, 1/4 tea spoon podina powder,and half the oil.
  3. Add 2 tea spoon curd and knead tight dough using water.
  4. Now make balls
  5. Make long cylindrical shape
  6. Take water in vessel, boil it.
  7. Add cylindrical shape we made
  8. Bring it to boil
  9. Check by knife if it is cleaned then it is cooked
  10. Now drain the water but don't throw as we use it later on
  11. Cut it into small pieces
  12. Now take rest of the oil in wok or pan.
  13. Heat it
  14. Add ajwain, hing
  15. Add red chilli powder
  16. Then gatte and all spices
  17. Mix well and stir for 5 minutes
  18. Now add boiled water which we have drained previously
  19. When it starts boiling add curd which is whisked properly.
  20. Stir continuously until it starts boiling . Add water it needed
  21. Now keep boiling for 5 minutes
  22. Now turn off the gas and add podina powder.
  23. Gatte ki sabji is ready

My Tip:

If podina powder is not available then you can use fresh podina.
