Lucknowi Shami Kebab

Ingredients to make Lucknowi Shami Kebab

  • 500 gm minced mutton
  • 2 Eggs
  • 100 gm gram dal soaked
  • 5 finely chopped onion
  • 5 green chilli finely chopped
  • 10 pods garlic
  • 1 inch chopped ginger
  • 4 cardamom
  • 1 Stick Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 10 black pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped coriander leaves
  • oil for deep fry (oil as per required)

How to make Lucknowi Shami Kebab

  1. Add minced mutton, gram dal, garlic, ginger, black pepper, Cinnamon, cumin seeds, salt, cardamom and boil it in pressure cooker for 6-7 minutes.
  2. Turn the gas off and grind the mixture into a fine paste.
  3. Now add chopped onion, green chilli and coriander leaves in the mixture and mix well.
  4. Beat the eggs in a separate bowl.
  5. Shape the dough into small round flattened balls or kebabs and dip them in beaten eggs. Heat oil and deep fry kebabs till golden brown and serve hot with sauce or chutney.
My Tip: Chicken kebabs can also be made using the same recipe.
