ABOUT Paneeer RECIPE

It is a lovely Thai style recipe with a beautiful mix n match of flavors. The preparation looks like a perfect delicacy but not very difficult to make. A great option to serve to your guest!!

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Pineapple sauce3 Tablespoon
  2. For making pineapple sauce :
  3. Pineapple 1/2 chopped in small pieces
  4. Sugar 1/4 cup
  5. Vinegar 1 tsp
  6. Paneer / cottage cheese 200 Gram
  7. Onion Finely Chopped 1 small
  8. Garlic chopped 4
  9. Capsicum small chopped finely
  10. Sweet chili sauce3 Tablespoon
  11. Soy sauce 1 Tablespoon
  12. Red chili flakes1 Teaspoon
  13. Salt to taste
  14. Cornflour 3 tablespoons
  15. Water as required
  16. Cooking oil 2 tablespoon
  17. Spring onions to garnish

Instructions

  1. First make pineapple sauce :
  2. For that cut 1/2 of pineapple into small pieces
  3. Grind it along with some water to fine paste
  4. Strain it and reserve the residue
  5. Take a pan. Put pineapple juice into it and bring it to rolling boil.
  6. Add 2 tsp of pineapple residue to it
  7. Next add 1/4 cup or less or more sugar to it
  8. Add 1 tsp vinegar to it
  9. Boil it till sugar melts.
  10. Pineapple Sauce is ready. Keep it aside.
  11. In a small bowl, place cornflour, add water and mix thoroughly.
  12. In a pan, heat oil, dip each paneer piece in the cornflour mixture and gently slide into the pan cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side.
  13. Remove and keep aside
  14. In a wok heat oil. Add finely chopped onions and garlic.
  15. Next add chopped capsicum
  16. Saute till they are light brown.
  17. Add in the pineapple sauce, chili sauce and soy sauce, stir fry for 2 minutes.
  18. Season with salt and red chili flakes.
  19. pour the remaining Cornflour mix into the pan, simmer for few minutes.
  20. Add in shallow fried paneer pieces and toss properly
  21. Place it on a plate and garnish with spring onions
  22. Serve warm.
