Ingredients to make Birds nest

  • Boiled potatoes 2-3
  • Vermicelli 1/2 cup
  • Green chillies chopped, optional
  • Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder 2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Chaat masala 1 tsp
  • Garam masala 1 tsp
  • Amchor powder 1 tsp
  • Oil for frying
  • All purpose flour/Maida 2 tbsp
  • Salt as per taste

How to make Birds nest

  1. Mash the boiled potatoes. Add the chopped green chillies, coriander leaves in it and add the spices and salt to it.
  2. Make round balls of the mashed potatoes mixture.
  3. Dip these balls in the all purpose flour/maida to make a thick paste.
  4. Apply the vermicelli coating on it and fry it in hot oil on a medium flame.
  5. In the center put peas/corns /nuts which resembles eggs.
  6. Enjoy it with green chutney/sauce.
