ABOUT Bread Egg Biryani RECIPE

Biryani is one must have recipe on Ramadan . Try this bread biryani for this Eid just for a change . Super easy , quick bread biryani . I have included eggs in this recipe to add flavour as we desire and moreover I have egg lovers at my place . Though , I don’t recommend using white bread, i was in a situation to use leftover white breads , which I didn’t want to waste . Well , once in a while is fine . No harm . Common , let’s get started .

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Bread slices 8
  2. Bay leaves 2,
  3. Cinnamon stick small 1
  4. Cloves 3
  5. Fennel Seeds 1/4 teaspoon
  6. Green chillies 2
  7. Onion medium sized 2 finely chopped
  8. Tomato ripe , big sized 1 finely chopped
  9. Ginger garlic paste 1/4 teaspoon
  10. Boiled eggs 3
  11. Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
  12. Biryani masala 1 teaspoon
  13. red chilli powder 1/4 teaspoon
  14. Black pepper powder 1/4 teaspoon
  15. Salt 1 teaspoon
  16. Mint leaves 4 tablespoons
  17. Cilantros finely chopped 3 tablespoons
  18. Ghee 2 tablespoons
  19. Oil 2 tablespoons
  20. Water 120 ml

Instructions

  1. Toast the bread slices in little ghee .
  2. Trim off the corners from the toasted bread slices .
  3. Cut the toasted bread slices into bite sized squares and keep aside .
  4. Heat oil in a wide pan .
  5. Add bay leaves .
  6. Add cloves and cinnamon stick .
  7. Add fennel seeds .
  8. Add green chillies .
  9. Add chopped onions and sauté till translucent .
  10. Add chopped tomatoes and sauté till soft and mushy .
  11. Add the turmeric powder .
  12. Add red chilli powder .
  13. Add biryani masala .
  14. Add mint leaves .
  15. Sauté till the masala is formed .
  16. Add salt .
  17. Add water .
  18. Simmer and cook .
  19. Add the halved boiled eggs to the masala .
  20. Mix and coat the eggs with Masala .
  21. Sprinkle black pepper powder .
  22. Add the bread pieces .
  23. Toss them in the masala .
  24. Add ghee .
  25. Simmer and slow cook for a couple of minutes .
  26. See every bread piece is masala coated and slow roasted .
  27. It’s done .
  28. Garnish with cilantros .
  29. Serve hot .
