Sugarcane Juice Vella Dosai

Ingredients to make Sugarcane Juice Vella Dosai

  • Wheat flour - 1 cup
  • Rice powder - 1/2 cup
  • Sugarcane juice - 1 1/2 cups (if needed add some more)
  • Jaggery (powdered) - 1/4 cup
  • Cardamom powder - 2 pinches
  • Cardamom powder - 2 pinches
  • Finely grated fresh coconut - 1/4 cup
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Ghee - to preapare dosas

How to make Sugarcane Juice Vella Dosai

  1. Add half a cup of sugarcane juice in a pan and let it boil.
  2. Add powdered jaggery and allow It to dissolve completely.
  3. Strain it and keep aside.
  4. Mix wheat flour rice powder, salt, cardamom powder, dry ginger powder, finely grated fresh coconut to the strained jaggery syrup and the remaining sugarcane juice.
  5. Mix well without any lumps. (just whip it in the mixie for a minute.)
  6. Grease and heat a dosa tawa and preapare dosas using ghee .
  7. Yummy sugarcane juice wheat vella dosas are ready to serve. Serve with butter.

My Tip:

Instead of water I have added sugarcane juice to the batter.
