Ingredients to make Tomato Pora (Roasted Tomato Salsa with Dried Fish)

  • 400 gms of fresh juicy Tomatoes
  • 2 medium sized Onions finely chopped
  • 6-7 Green chillies
  • 1/2 cup dried Fish
  • Salt to taste

How to make Tomato Pora (Roasted Tomato Salsa with Dried Fish)

  1. In a flat pan on stove top, roast tomatoes and green chilies. Upon cooling peel the tomatoes and set aside.
  2. Using tongs carefully dry fish over flame till it turns crisp and lightly charred. Slice it into small pieces and set aside.
  3. Mash green chilies and tomatoes together and add dried fish pieces. Season with salt and add onions. Tastes best when served with steamed rice.
