Vegetarian chilli is a protein packed dish which the kids will love

Vegetarian Chilli

Ingredients to make Vegetarian Chilli

  • 2 Cups Black beans or rajma
  • 1 large chili - chopped finely
  • 1 cup chopped capsicum
  • 1 large onion - chopped finely
  • 1 cup crushed tomato
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 1 tablespoon- red chilli powder
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Oregano 3 teaspoons

How to make Vegetarian Chilli

  1. Boil the beans in a pressure cooker until soft.
  2. In a pan heat some oil and add a bay leaf and saute; add the chopped onions and capsicums and saute well.
  3. When the onions turn translucent, add the crushed tomatoes and tomato puree.
  4. When this boils add salt , chilli pepper and oregano.
  5. Serve with tortilla chips, fresh corn kernels and shredded cheddar cheese.

My Tip:

I make it with love when I see my children smiling faces every day.
