Bhuna keema

Ingredients to make Bhuna keema

  • 1 onion sliced
  • 500 gms keema
  • 5 -8 garlic cloves
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 4 -5 cloves
  • 4-5 green cardamom
  • 1 black cardamom
  • 1 tsp black peper corns
  • Half stick dalchini
  • 2 bay leaf
  • salt
  • 1 tsp ghee
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri chilli powder
  • Half tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tomato diced
  • 3 - 4 green chilli slit
  • Handful of peas(optional)

How to make Bhuna keema

  1. Wash keema and keep it separate.
  2. Take all the whole garam masalas and with the help of a pestle grind it a little
  3. Heat oil in a pan. Put sliced onion, garlic ginger. Once they turn brown put tomatoes. Once the tomatoes are soft put coriander powder cumin powder red chilli powder and turmeric powder. Fry it done. Cool it and grind it with little water.
  4. In a cooker add a little oil, put bay leaf, grind masala, green chilli, and keema. Fry till water evaporates. Mix in the onion grind, salt and fry till oil separates. Approximately for 30 mins.
  5. Put kashmiri lal mirch, peas, a tsp ghee , little water. Cover it and get one whistle.
  6. Garnish with coriander leaves

My Tip:

Cook on medium heat to get awesome flavour.
