Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1 cup rice
  2. 1/2 Cup Chana Daal
  3. 1/4 cup moong daal
  4. 2 tbsp urad daal
  5. 1 cup curd
  6. 1 cup grated lauki
  7. 1 cup grated carrot
  8. 1 tsp Ginger paste
  9. 2 chillies
  10. 1 tbsp oil
  11. 1 tbsp mustard seeds
  12. 1 tsp jeera
  13. 1/4 tsp hing
  14. 1 tsp seasme seeds
  15. 10 curry leaves
  16. Coriander leaves
  17. salt as per taste
  18. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  19. 1/4 tsp haldi
  20. 1 lemon Juice
  21. 1 tsp sugar
  22. 1/2 tsp baking soda
  23. 1 sachet of eno

Instructions

  1. Soak all rice and daal for 3-4 hours
  2. Grind them and keep hours or whole night for fermentation
  3. Add curd and vegetables
  4. Add all spices
  5. Add Lemon juice and sugar
  6. Add baking soda
  7. Make tadka by heating oil
  8. Add rai,jeera and hing
  9. Add curry leaves and sesame seeds
  10. Now add half tadka in battar
  11. Preheat ovan
  12. Grease a mould
  13. Add eno sachet and 2 tsp water to activate eno
  14. Mix all of them finely
  15. And pour battar in mould
  16. Add remaining tadka on top of battar
  17. Sprinkle some red chilli powder. It will look beautiful
  18. Bake for 20 min at 180 degree
  19. Insert a knife and check whether it is ready or not
  20. If knife comes clean then it is ready
  21. Sprinkle sesame seeds and green chilli (optional)
  22. Serve hot with chutney
