Ingredients to make American Chopsuey

  • Hakka noodles 1 pack(boil it and strain it with fresh water and add little salt and oil in it and keep aside)
  • For curry sauce-
  • 1 capsicum (julienne)
  • 1 onion (thin sliced)
  • Corn flour powder 2 tsp
  • Sugar 1 tsp
  • Tomato ketchup 2 tsp
  • salt as per taste
  • Chili garlic sauce 2 tsp
  • Oil for frying

How to make American Chopsuey

  1. Firstly boil the noodles and strain it with running water.Sprinkle a dash of salt and drizzle some oil , keep aside.
  2. Take a wok add oil
  3. Now take a bunch of noodles and deep fry them.
  4. With the help of a flat big spoon press the noodles so that they remain joint together.
  5. Now when it will start changing color flip it to the other side.
  6. Fry it till it turns crispy and then place it on an absorbent paper.
  7. Now take a wok add 2 tsp of oil.
  8. Add onions and capsicum in it.
  9. Stir it for 2 to 3 minutes
  10. Now add salt, sugar and chili garlic paste and saute it .
  11. Add corn flour powder and then add water in it.stir it continuously.
  12. Now add tomato ketchup.
  13. Stir it till it gets thick.You can add more water if needed.
  14. Lastly you can add some boiled noodles in the sauce.
  15. Start the plating by placing fried noodles and pour your ready thick tangy sauce on it.
  16. Enjoy!
  17. You can also add omlettee pieces on the top.
