Oats-Potatoes Croquettes

Ingredients to make Oats-Potatoes Croquettes

  • Boiled and mashed potatoes - 1 cup
  • Oats -1/2 cup
  • Sweet corn - 1/4 cup
  • Salt -1/2 tsp or acc. To taste
  • Black Pepper - 1/2 Tsp
  • Garam masala - 1 tsp
  • Egg - 1
  • Bread crumbs
  • Oil to fry.
  • Mozarella cheese for garnishing.

How to make Oats-Potatoes Croquettes

  1. Take boiled potatoes and oats in a bowl, mix them along with sweet corns.
  2. Add salt, pepper and garam masala.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Add half egg for binding and keep the remaining egg to be used as batter for frying.
  5. Make small balls of the mix.
  6. Add little bit of salt and pepper in remaining egg.
  7. Put the balls one by one in egg batter and then roll from all sides in bread crumbs.
  8. Now heat the oil and fry the balls till golden brown.
  9. Take out in a tissue paper to get rid of excess oil .
  10. Take a tray and sprinkle grated Mozzarella cheese over it. Now put the fried balls and again sprinkle grated cheese over it, microwave for 2 min.
  11. The yummy croquettes are ready.
  12. Enjoy with any dip of your choice .
  13. Instead of egg , the maida and cornflour batter can also be used)

My Tip:

In the batter other items can be added . Like onion, pressed rice or green chilly etc.
