About Leche Frita Recipe

A typical Spanish delicacy also known as fried milk.

Leche Frita

Ingredients to make Leche Frita

  • Milk - 200ml
  • Corn flour- 1/4 cup
  • sugar - 2 tbsp
  • butter - 3 cubes
  • nutmeg powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Eggs for batter / make slurry of maida and water.
  • oil to fry
  • Powdered sugar and cinnamon powder to sprinkle

How to make Leche Frita

  1. Take a pan. Put milk in it . Add sugar ,corn flour, nutmeg powder ,butter and mix it well so no lumps are formed
  2. Now switch on the gas and put the pan on it and stir it continuously until a thick paste is formed.
  3. Take this mixture in a bowl layered with cling wrap paper n then put the paste in it.
  4. Now cover the mixture and put it in refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  5. Now take out the mixture which is turned to a jelly shape.
  6. Cut it into desired shape.
  7. In a bowl make a batter of maida and water and fry the milk cubes .
  8. The Leche Fritas are ready. Sprinkle it with some cinnamon powder and icing sugar before serving.
