Soya Scotch Eggs

Ingredients to make Soya Scotch Eggs

  • soyabeen keema ( boiled ) - 500 gm
  • Oil for Deep frying
  • chat masala - 1 tablespoon
  • bengal gram powder - 4 tablespoons
  • boiled eggs - 4 no
  • onions chopped - 4 teaspoons
  • ginger and garlic paste - 2 teaspoons
  • green chilies chopped - 2 teaspoons
  • roasted cumin powder - 2 teaspoons
  • garam masala powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • raisins - 3 teaspoons
  • bread crumb - 2 cups

How to make Soya Scotch Eggs

  1. Heat oil in a pan add chopped onions and ginger, garlic paste and green chilies fry till become light golden in colour .
  2. Add soya keema, cumin powder, salt, sugar, bengal gram powder and fry for few seconds and mix the masala mixture well .
  3. Turn off the heat and sprinkle garam masala powder and let them completely cool .
  4. Get ready for soya masala coating and covering .
  5. Take a ball of the soya keema mixture on palm and then flatten it out . The surface should be big enough to hold the egg and covered the egg .
  6. Now roll the Scotch Egg in bread crumbs .
  7. Gently suspend the Scotch Egg in hot oil and fry until both side is golden brown .
  8. Sprinkle some chat masala on the Scotch Egg .
  9. Served with mango onion wine salsa .
  10. Bite in and enjoy the magic.
