Ingredients to make Fish prawn coconut curry

  • Halwa fish 1/2 kg
  • Prawns 1/4 kg
  • oil as required
  • garlic crushed 4 to 5 cloves
  • curry leaves a few
  • Rai 1 tsp
  • haldi 1/2 tsp
  • red chilli powder 2 tsp
  • jeera powder 1 tsp
  • dhania powder 1 tsp
  • Sauf powder 1/2 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • kokum 7 to 8
  • Fresh coconut milk 1 cup
  • wheat flour and water for thickening
  • coriander leaves for garnishing

How to make Fish prawn coconut curry

  1. Heat oil, add garlic, curry leaves, rai and saute till it begins to crackle. Add in all the powder masala plus haldi then saute it again.
  2. Then add 1 glass of water when it comes to a boil. Add kokum, salt, add the fish, prawns and coconut milk. Cook until fish and prawns are cooked.
  3. Then thicken the gravy with wheat flour mix. Add as per the choice of the consistency of the gravy required.
  4. Garnish with coriander leaves. Serve hot with rice.
