Ingredients to make Coconut balls covered with poppy seeds

  • 250 gm boiled potatoes
  • 2 tbsp gram flour
  • salt as per taste
  • Black pepper 1/2 tsp
  • For filling:
  • 1/2 cup grated coconut
  • 1/2 cup green coriander leaves
  • 1/2 cup groundnuts roasted
  • 2 green chillies chopped
  • lemon juice 2 tbsp
  • A pinch of hing/asafoetida

How to make Coconut balls covered with poppy seeds

  1. In bowl mix boil potato, gram flour, salt, black pepper and make a dough.
  2. Mix in all the ingredients mentioned under Filing.
  3. Take a little ball of dough on your palm.
  4. Add in the filling and make a ball again. Cover with poppy seeds.
  5. Deep fry in hot oil.
  6. Serve with green chutney.
