About Paneer Barfi Recipe

An easy to make Indian sweet dish prepared with condensed milk and cottage cheese

Paneer Barfi

Ingredients to make Paneer Barfi

  • 200g Condensed Milk
  • 100g paneer grated
  • 120 ml cream
  • 2-3 tbsp pistachio chopped
  • 2-3tbsp almonds chopped
  • 2-3 cardamom
  • 1/2 tsp ghee
  • A few saffron strands
  • water as needed

How to make Paneer Barfi

  1. Heat water in a pan till bubbling hot.
  2. Add pistachios and almonds to the hot water. Keep aside for 30 mins.
  3. Peel the pistachios and almonds and chop them. Keep the chopped dry fruits aside.
  4. Add the condensed milk, cream and grated paneer in a pan.
  5. Stir, mix and then keep this pan on a stove top on a low flame.
  6. Cook and stir continuously for 5 mins
  7. Add saffron and cardamom powder. about 10 minutes.
  8. Remove from heat. Grease a pan with ghee, spread the barfi mixture evenly.
  9. Add a layer of chopped pistachios and almonds on the barfi. Press gently.
  10. Let it cool and then slice them into small squares.
  11. Serve or refrigerate
