Baked Doughnuts

Ingredients to make Baked Doughnuts

  • maida flour - 500 gm
  • yeast - 10 gm
  • eggs - 1
  • Vanilla extract - 2 tsp
  • sugar - 120 gm
  • butter - 50 gm
  • milk - 100 ml

How to make Baked Doughnuts

  1. Activate the yeast using 200 ml of the warm milk, 20 gm of the sugar and add the yeast to it. Wait till the mixture starts frothing. (Rest of the sugar and milk needs to be added to the flour).
  2. Then add all the ingredients into the flour and knead a soft dough.
  3. Apply some oil onto the dough and let it rise by keeping it covered with a cling film, in a warm environment, for 2 hours.
  4. Now roll out the dough with some maida dusted. Cut the circles using cookie cutters of 2 different sizes.
  5. Cover them with cling film again and let it rest for 10-15 minutes.
  6. Bake them at 180, in a preheated oven for 10-15 minutes. Cool them.
  7. Chocolate glaze : melt about 170 gm of plain cooking chocolate using a double boiler and once melted, dip the doughnuts and pull them out and let it cool.
  8. Sugar coating : melt some butter in microwave and brush them on the doughnuts. And them immediately dip them in a plate filled with sugar.
