Ingredients to make Kabuli Chana Vadai

  • Kabuli channa - 1/2 kg
  • mint leaves - a handful
  • coriander leaves - a handful
  • curry leaves - a handful
  • cumin seeds - 2 tsps
  • green chillies - 5 nos
  • red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • coriander powder - 1 tbsp
  • salt - to taste
  • oil - for deep frying

How to make Kabuli Chana Vadai

  1. Soak kabuli channa overnight.
  2. Grind the channa with cumin seeds, coriander leaves, mint leaves, and curry leaves.
  3. Add chilli powder, coriander powder, salt and mix well.
  4. The ground paste should be thick.
  5. Heat oil in a frying pan, make lemon size balls from the ground paste and press it to round shape and put them in hot oil and fry till it becomes golden brown colour.
  6. Kabuli chana vadas are ready to serve.
