Ingredients to make Mawa peda /Khoya Peda /Kesar Mawa Peda

  • mawa /khoya/mava 250 grams
  • sugar 1/2 cup
  • 6-7 green cardamom
  • Generous pinch of saffron soaked in milk .

How to make Mawa peda /Khoya Peda /Kesar Mawa Peda

  1. Take a heavy bottomed pan or kadhai . ,You can use nonstick pan too ,add Khoya and sugar and mix on low flame .
  2. Add saffron infused milk ,milk powder and cardamom powder and mix.
  3. Keep stirring continuously till sugar dissolves and mixture starts leaving sides .
  4. Once you see oil releasing and mixture leaving sides ,switch the flame off and remove the mixture in a greased thali .
  5. Let the mixture cool .
  6. Divide the mixture in small balls and shape it in pedas .
  7. I have used a fondant cutter to give it a design you can simply stick almonds or pista flakes .
