Ingredients to make Bhindi ( ladyfingers ) with potatoes

  • 500 gms Bhindi
  • 1 onion cut in long pieces
  • 2 boiled potatoes
  • 1/4 tsp haldi ( turmeric)
  • 1/4 tsp dhania powder(dried coriander seeds powder)
  • 1/4 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp jeera ( cumin seeds )
  • 2 green chillies
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Salt to taste

How to make Bhindi ( ladyfingers ) with potatoes

  1. Put oil in a non stick pan
  2. Add bhindi cut in square pieces. Fry for 5 mns
  3. Add potatoes cut square
  4. Fry for 2-3 mns
  5. Add onions ( see picture for cutting style )
  6. Add all masalas and fry for another 2-3 mns
  7. Add the green chillies - solid
My Tip: Be careful. Do not over cook. Bhindi tastes best a little undercooked and crisp
