Ingredients to make Vietnamese Crab Shaped Steamed Bun/ Banh Bao Bi Do

  • pumpkin 25 gms
  • Whole wheat flour 200 gms
  • sugar 20 gms
  • water 80 ml
  • baking soda 4 gms

How to make Vietnamese Crab Shaped Steamed Bun/ Banh Bao Bi Do

  1. Boil the pumpkin pieces. Then mash it well.
  2. Make the dough by mixing flour, pumpkin, baking soda and sugar. Keep it aside for 1-2 hours.
  3. Now heat water in a large bowl and cover the pan.
  4. Make 6 same size balls from the dough. Then join 2 balls and roll it to an oval shape body of crab.
  5. Make legs with the other 4 pieces. Place it on the oval shaped body and join the both ends.
  6. Steam it for 25-30 mins.
  7. Healthy pumpkin bun is ready.
