Smoked Bajri Roti

Ingredients to make Smoked Bajri Roti

  • 2 cups bajri flour
  • salt as per taste
  • Green garlic 1 tbsp
  • 3 green chillies
  • 3 tbsp ghee
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp jeera

How to make Smoked Bajri Roti

  1. Add salt to the flour and make the bajri rotis from it. Then let these rotis cool and make small pieces of it.
  2. Take a pan. Add ghee and oil to it. Then add in the jeera, slit green chillies, chopped green garlic and saute for a few minutes. Add in the bajri roti and make a hole by pushing the rotis to the sides.
  3. Heat the coal piece on gas. Once properly heated, put it in a bowl and place in between the bajri roti.
  4. Put a little ghee on the burnt coal. Now cover it and let it stand for few minutes. It will give a wonderful smoky smell.

My Tip:

While making the rotis, add water little by little and knead the dough well. You will get wonderful soft rotis.
