Ingredients to make Nachos with creamy cheese dip and salsa

  • For Nacho Chips:
  • maize flour-3/4 th cup
  • Plain flour-5 tbsp
  • oil-2 tsp
  • Carom seeds-1/4 th tsp
  • Oregano-1/2 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • oil for Deep frying
  • FOR CREAMY CHEESE DIP:
  • Cheese slices-4
  • Milk-half cup+1 tbsp
  • Cornflour-2 tsp
  • capsicum-2 tbsp,finely chopped
  • mustard powder-1/4th tsp
  • salt to taste
  • FOR SALSA:
  • tomatoes-2
  • onion-1 small
  • garlic-1 clove
  • Green chilli-1 finely chopped
  • sugar-a pinch
  • salt-1/2 tsp
  • Roasted cumin powder-1/2 tsp
  • lime juice-1/2 tsp
  • coriander-1/4 th cup

How to make Nachos with creamy cheese dip and salsa

  1. FOR NACHO CHIPS:
  2. Combine all ingredients in a deep bowl and knead a soft dough using enough water.
  3. Divide the dough into 3 equal portions.
  4. Roll a portion into 10 inches circle and prick it evenly with fork.
  5. Cut into 16 equal triangles and keep aside.
  6. Heat the oil in a kadai and fry little chips at a time on medium flame till they turn golden brown.Drain on absorbent paper.
  7. Fry all the chips similarly.
  8. FOR CREAMY CHEESY DIP:
  9. Mix cornflour and 1 tbsp oil in a small bowl and keep.
  10. Combine cheese slices pieces,capsicum and milk in a bowl.Mix well and keep in microwave for 1 minute.
  11. Mix cornflour milk mixture and again microwave on high for 2 minutes.
  12. Add mustard powder and salt and Mix well.
  13. Serve immediately with nachos.
  14. FOR SALSA:
  15. Mix finely chopped tomatoes,onions,garlic, coriander,chillies,with sugar salt and cumin powder for a chunky salsa.
  16. If you want fine and thin salsa can pulse everything together in a mixer.

My Tip:

You can bake the nacho chips in oven for a healthy version.
