Ingredients to make Paneer Patty Tacos with Chickpea and Kidney Beans

  • For tacos:maize flour (makai ka atta) 1 cup
  • Refined flour (maida) 1 cup
  • salt to taste
  • oil 2 tbsp + for deep frying
  • For paneer patty:Boiled and mashed potatoes 2 medium
  • Grated cottage cheese (paneer) 1/2 cup
  • Red chili powder 1/2 tsp
  • chopped coriander leaves 1 tbsp
  • Chopped green chili 1/2 tsp
  • Bread crumbs 2 tbsp
  • For Mousse:coriander leaves 1/2 cup
  • Green chili chopped 1
  • guavas 2
  • cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Whipped cream 2 tbsp
  • For Salad:Boiled chickpea 1 cup
  • Boiled kidney beans 1 cup
  • Add salt as required to all
  • Finely chopped capsicum 1/4 cup
  • Finely chopped spring onion 1/4 cup
  • Deseeded and finely chopped tomatoes 1/4 cup
  • sandwich spread 1 tsp
  • Cheese spread 1 tbsp
  • Hung curd 1 tbsp
  • Crushed black pepper 1/4 tsp

How to make Paneer Patty Tacos with Chickpea and Kidney Beans

  1. Mix maize flour, refined flour, salt and oil in a bowl. Knead a smooth dough using warm water as needed.
  2. Divide the dough into equal portions. Roll out each portion into 4 inch diameter discs. Prick the discs with fork.
  3. Deep fry discs one by one on low flame till they are semi crisp. Remove from oil on a kitchen towel. Place a rolling pin on the center of the discs, and give a shape of taco shell.
  4. Mix well all the ingredients of paneer patties and divide into 4 equal parts. Give a shape of long patties and shallow fry them on medium flame.
  5. Deseed and chop guava. Grind all the ingredients of mousse except whipped cream in a mixer. Now add whipped cream and mix well, and fill in a piping bag.
  6. Mix all the ingredients of salad together in a bowl.
  7. Take a taco put salad at the bottom. After that paneer patty and then garnish with mousse. Serve it along with salad at side.
