Ingredients to make Tomato ketchup flavoured Seer fish fry

  • 8 slices of Seer fish/ vajram
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 3 tbsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • ½ lemon
  • oil for shallow frying
  • chopped coriander leaves for garnishing

How to make Tomato ketchup flavoured Seer fish fry

  1. Wash and clean the fish slices with water and turmeric powder and keep ready.
  2. Add red chilli powder, salt, tomato sauce, ginger garlic paste and lemon juice to a bowl and mix to form a paste.
  3. Check for taste, add salt if necessary.
  4. Take the fish slices one by one and coat on both the sides with the masala mix.
  5. Allow the fish slices to marinate for 3 to 4 hours.
  6. Heat oil in a tava, and shallow fry the fish slices till they are cooked on both sides.
  7. Serve hot with plain rice or biryani.
  8. You can also have it as an appetizer.
